Another great result for the Darwinian Knights Juniors
On Tuesday evening the Darwinian Knights junior’s had a convincing win 3½ – 1½ against Telford B. The strong start after 2 games they are on 3 points placing them top of division 2.

Clean sweep for Darwinian Knights D team
Wins all round for the D team at Newport on Tuesday. First to finish on board 4 and first league win for Graham Anderson. Second was Zac Heard on board 3. Followed by Paula Sharp on Board 2. Paula’s opponent was a young girl with lots of potential. Steve Wilson brought home the clean sweep on Board 1. Although Steve was ahead in material precise play was required to secure the win.

Solid performance from the Junior and B teams.
Good result for both the B and Junior team who shared the honours last night at home, 2.5-2.5.
Well done to Jon Courtney who won his first league match with DK. Well done to the other winners, Rhys M, Daniel T, and Dennis B.

Great effort from our Rapidplay team
Well done to our rapidplay team playing against a very strong teams on the Open section at the Team Quickplay tournament at Maddocks today.
The team of Mike E, Rhys M, Ellis s, Daniel T, Gabriel T and reserve Paula, played very well, special congrats to Daniel and Gabriel scoring 3.5/6 each.
Top grade in the Open section was 2222 graded!

Rapidplay results
We hosted our Darwinian Knights Rapidplay tournament at the club last night. There were 18 entrants who battled their way through 5 rounds under the watchful eye of our Organiser, Steve Wilson.
Rudi B was the well deserved winner with a perfect 5/5 and joint runners up with 4.5/5 were Archie F and Gabriel T.
They all collected their cash prize from Steve who organised and planned the entire event.
